Tony North

Tony's impressive background showcases a diverse and accomplished career spanning management, IT, Cyber Security, and HR. After serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1987 to 1991, where he built a solid foundation in technology, he transitioned into the private sector and made history as the first PC Software Trainer at SAFECO Insurance Home Office in 1991.

Through the 1990s, Tony became a sought after implementation expert, completing over 250 software deployments across ITSM and HR platforms for leading organizations including HEAT by Ivanti, Magic Solutions by McAfee, HROffice by UKG, and Skillsoft, ending 2000.

From 2000 to 2020, Tony stepped into executive leadership, building culture and driving performance as a Director and Senior Director across a succession of organizations over two decades. This also lead him to be a well known speaker helping community and teams alike.

In 2014, he channeled his passion for community into founding SeattleHDI.com, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering Technical Support Professionals. Under his leadership, he assembled an executive board of prominent leaders from SAP, Pfizer, Boeing, and Nordstrom, creating a peer learning community that has served the industry for over 14 years.

His international experience is notable, having lived in England for 2+ years and traveling extensively to 27 countries and 43 United States, providing services to global clients. This exposure has given him a broad perspective and a deep understanding of diverse business environments.

Tony's commitment to education is evident through his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Operations and Supervision from the University of Phoenix which was completed while traveling to other countries. His dedication to academic excellence earned him a Lifetime Membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Beyond his professional achievements, Tony is actively engaged in his community, residing in Bothell with his three children. His involvement as a volunteer, conference host and speaker promoting nonprofits and the YMCA, as a basketball and football coach for nine years, demonstrates his commitment to mentorship and community building. Additionally, his love for chess, particularly playing with his Dad in world tournaments, adds a personal touch to his profile.

Overall, Tony emerges as a multifaceted individual— a seasoned professional, a dedicated family man, and a community leader who values giving back and helping others.
